The interactions within the forest and wood value chain are shaped by overarching themes such as digital transformation, social and political demands, the valuation of ecosystem services, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
These overarching aspects play an important and often connecting role in all four Topic areas.
Keeping these cross-cutting themes in mind, the forest and wood value chain holds great potential to significantly contribute to atmospheric decarbonization.
