About the event
The S-WIN conference “From Research to Practice” takes place annually, alternating between ETH Zurich and the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel.
The aims of the conference are to present and discuss actionable findings and results from research activities.
The conference focuses on structural timber engineering. The central themes are new findings and fundamental principles for the safe and economical design of timber structures for normal and fire load cases. The conference presents the key results of research activities for practical application, which are documented in a comprehensive conference volume. The conference is primarily aimed at civil engineers and timber construction companies.
